Wests Tigers v Warriors Live Stream & Match Preview

The return of centre Chris Lawrence will provide Wests Tigers with a significant advantage out wide over a Warriors side that has been hard-hit by injuries this season.

Lawrence will be reunited with winger Lote Tuqiri for only the second time since Round 3 to reinforce the Tigers’ left-side attack and supply the team with strike-power on both sides of the field. On the right, Blake Ayshford and Beau Ryan have developed one of the strongest combinations in the NRL this season.

Only Brisbane (45) have come up with more tries on the right side of the field than the Tigers (42).

By contrast, the Warriors will field two part-timers in the centres following injuries to Shaun Berrigan (hip) and Joel Moon (dislocated ankle). Former Eel Krisnan Inu, who has played some centre but is more at home on the wing, is expected to play opposite Ayshford, while Lewis Brown, usually a back-rower, will play on the right.
It would appear obvious that the Tigers will heavily target Warriors winger Manu Vatuvei, who had a night to forget against the Broncos last weekend but “The Beast” will be ready for the assault and if he manages to hold onto the ball he can be a match-winner.

The Tigers have won their last three games against the Warriors but were forced to achieve victory the hard way when they last played, at Mt Smart Stadium in Round 14. The Tigers trailed 22-4 at the 62nd minute before surging home to win 26-22.

There is little question that the Warriors will improve on their disappointing effort at Suncorp Stadium last week but if the Tigers show their opponents appropriate respect they should claim their 10th consecutive victory and book a berth in the preliminary final against Melbourne on Saturday week.

Look for a penalty goal to either side as First Scoring Play and consider a win by 13+ points to the Tigers.
First Tryscoring candidates include Beau Ryan, Benji Marshall and Blake Ayshford for Wests Tigers or Kevin Locke, Manu Vatuvei or Bill Tupou for the Warriors.
