The State of Origin decider next week is set to create TV ratings history with online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au installing over 3 million viewers ($2.75) as favourite for total average viewers across the five capital cities.

Between 2,750,001 and 3 million viewers is next in the market at $3.00 and would also be a ratings record for State of Origin.

And it seems New South Wales will win at least one battle with Sydney installed as the $1.13 favourite to have more viewers tuned into the blockbuster than Brisbane ($5.50).

“This game is going to stop the country in its tracks and it looks set to smash the previous ratings record with ease,” said sportsbet.com.au’s Ben Hawes.

Queensland remains the $1.60 favourite to win the game with New South Wales the $2.35 outsider.
