South Sydney Rabbitohs have announced the signing of former Melbourne Storm centre Matt King from next season

King, who has spent the past four seasons in England playing for Super League side Warrington Wolves, has agreed a return to the NRL and has signed a two-year deal with the Bunnies.

The 30-year-old will be reunited with former Storm team-mate Greg Inglis and his old assistant coach at Melbourne in Michael Maguire, who will be head coach from 2012.

Souths chief executive Shane Richardson is delighted to have signed a player of King’s calibre, he said: “Matt was one of the leading lights during Melbourne's dominance of the competition, alongside players such as Greg Inglis and Michael Crocker, and also our new head coach in Michael Maguire.

"He has the runs on the board and we're looking forward to welcoming Matt and his young family to South Sydney next season."
