The NRL reaches round 10 this weekend and Melbourne Storm will be looking to make it 10 wins on the bounce against Cronulla Sharks, while Parramatta Eels will be looking to move off the bottom when they take on Canberra Raiders.

Can the Cronulla Sharks become the first team to defeat Melbourne Storm in the NRL in 2012?

The simple answer to that question is No.

The Sharks have had a really good start to the season in 2012, but the Storm look streets ahead of their competition and although they may not go the whole campaign unbeaten it could be a few more weeks before they get beaten.

The Storm are top of the ladder in Australia with nine wins from nine games and it would take a brave man to bet against them this weekend.

Melbourne come into this game on the back of a convincing 44-10 win over Penrith Panthers with winger Justin O’Neill helping himself to a hat-trick of tries.

The Sharks will be no walkover, they have had a great start to the season with six wins from their nine matches but the Storm will have too much class.

Cronulla come into this match on the back of a 34-28 defeat at the hands of South Sydney Rabbitohs with Todd Carney and Ben Pomeroy getting on the score sheet.

Parramatta Eels have made their worst start to a season for the first time in 50 years and are rooted to the foot of the NRL ladder.

The Eels travel to take on Canberra Raiders in Round 10 of the NRL on Sunday.

Parramatta Eels have had a shocking start to the season and find themselves at the bottom of the rankings list with just one win to their name from their opening nine matches.

Looking at the Eels squad list it has hard to pinpoint why they are in the predicament they are. They are coached by New Zealand coach Stephen Kearney and have the likes of Jarryd Hayne, Willie Tonga, Nathan Hindmarsh, Fuifui Moimoi and Chris Sandow in their ranks.

Kearney’s men come into this game on the back of a heavy 46-12 defeat at home against Canterbury Bulldogs with Ryan Morgan and Ken Sio crossing for their two tries.

Their opponents, the Canberra Raiders, are not doing that well themselves and are down in 13th spot with three wins from nine games.

At the start of the season the Raiders looked like they could mount a serious push for the play-offs, but they have fallen away in recent weeks.

The Green Machine come into this game on the back of a narrow 18-12 at the hands of defending champions Manly Sea Eagles with Josh Papalii and Josh Dugan crossing the whitewash.
