The NRL has reached Round 24 and the Bulldogs can win the Minor Premiership and give them a major boost ahead of the play-offs with victory over Wests Tigers, although Melbourne Storm can keep hot on their tails if they defeat Brisbane Broncos.

The Bulldogs lead the way with 36 points thanks to a fine record of 16 wins from 21 matches and they know all they have to do is keep winning and the Minor Premiership will be theirs.

No team is unbeatable that is a fact, but the Canterbury Bulldogs are very close to being that and they come into this game on the back of a 22-14 win over Brisbane Broncos.

The Tigers, however, are under a different kind of pressure. They are in the eighth and final position for the play-offs with a couple of teams breathing down their neck for that final spot.

Wests have 26 points, while there are two teams in Newcastle Knights and Canberra Raiders just two points behind waiting for the Tigers to lose their bite and bottle it.

Although reaching the Grand Final is the ultimate goal for Melbourne, they will be disappointed if they miss out on top spot after leading the competition for so long.

The Storm went through a mid-season blip that has seen them drop to second spot on the ladder. They currently have 32 points and a win over the Broncos will see them close the gap on the Bulldogs as long as they lose at home to Wests Tigers - which is unlikely.

The Broncos need this victory just as much as Melbourne because if they continue to lose games they could miss out on the play-offs altogether.

Brisbane are in seventh spot with 25 points with the likes of Newcastle Knights and Canberra Raiders fighting to get into the top eight.
