Rugby League’s worst kept secret was revealed on Friday with Ricky Stuart signing a three year deal to take over the coaching of Parramatta in season 2013.

Well, can he turn the fortunes of the Eels around and guide them to a semi final spot next year?

Parramatta’s recent performances tell you it’s going to be a tough task for Stuart.

Here is a rundown of the last five seasons for the Eels:

2012 - Currently 16th on 12 points from 4 wins
2011 - Finished 14th on 17 points from 6 ins and a Draw
2010 - Finished 12th on 24 points from 10 wins
2009 - Finished 8th on 29 points from 12 wins and a Draw (Went on to make Grand Final losing 23-16 to Melbourne)
2008 - Finished 11th on 26 points from 11 wins

In their previous eight seasons from 2000-2007 Parramatta made the semi finals six times and were Minor Premiers in 2001 & 2005

Luxbet believe that Stuart is the answer to Parramatta’s woes and has made them $1.80 to return to finals football in 2013. They are $2 to remain outside the Top Eight..

STUART THE SAVIOUR?

Parramatta make 2013 Finals - $1.80
Parramatta miss 2013 Finals - $2.00
