St George Illawarra Dragons finally ended their poor run in the NRL on Monday by beating Manly Sea Eagles

You can watch and bet on all the NRL action at Bet365>livestreaming>rugbyleague from Friday.

The Dragons have struggled in recent weeks following two defeats against Brisbane Broncos and Gold Coast Titans as well as a draw against Parramatta Eel, but they got back on track as they ran in four tries to one to pick up a 24-6 victory at WIN Stadium.

First half scores from Kyle Stanley and Mitch Rein, both converted by Jamie Soward, helped the Dragons race into a 12-0 lead and although Brett Stewart pulled one back for the Sea Eagles, tries from Stanley and Soward clinched a 24-6 triumph.

The down side for the Dragons was an injury to Soward, who picked up a hamstring problem on the way to scoring, and he is now considered doubtful for next Wednesday’s State of Origin decider for New South Wales against Queensland.

Friday night saw the Canterbury Bulldogs come through victorious in a dour encounter at Campbelltown Stadium with Frank Pritchard, Ben Barba and Josh Morris crossing over for tries in a 16-6 win over Wests Tigers, while the South Sydney Rabbitohs and Brisbane Broncos locked horns in torrential rain in Perth as the Bunnies clinched a 16-12 triumph thanks to tries from Chris McQueen and Rhys Wesser.

There were a further two more matches on Saturday with Cronulla Sharks, led by the impressive Paul Gallen, running riot with six try rout over a poor Gold Coast Titans outfit as the Sharkies won 36-12 at Skilled Park, while Canberra Raiders moved two points clear of bottom club Gold Coast with a 25-12 home win over Parramatta Eels with Sam Williams grabbing a brace of tries.

Melbourne Storm remain at the top of the NRL ladder after a Billy Slater inspired win over New Zealand Warriors at Mt Smart Stadium with the Queensland and Australia fullback helping himself to two tries.

The other two matches on Sunday saw Luke Lewis lead the Penrith Panthers to a 30-20 win over North Queensland Cowboys in a match that also saw Petero Civoniceva cross for a rare try, while the Newcastle Knights boosted their hopes of a top eight finish with an 18-10 triumph over struggling Sydney Roosters at Ausgrid Stadium.
