Gold Coast's star centre Jamal Idris survived the club's final training session on Thursday and is expected to start in their Round 8 clash with Brisbane Broncos.

Gold Coast are 4.60 at bet365 to win to win in Brisbane on Friday, with the Broncos 1.20 to win on home turf.

The Titans giant has been suffering from hamstring tendinitis for the past few weeks and therefore, the club management has limited his game time significantly so that he can recuperate. He came off the bench to score in the recent win over Manly Sea Eagles and has convinced the Titans coaches that he is back to his best. Hence, the chances of him lining up against his Brisbane counterpart Justin Hodges are looking good.

Titans boss John Cartwright said that if the club doctors give him the green light, then he would certainly restore Idris back in his starting line-up against the in-form Broncos.

Cartwright said: "He looks fine, he got through that session okay. It's been six weeks since the injury now - they said it was about a four to six-week injury, he's had a bit of football in the meantime, but we haven't over-used him, so hopefully he'll be 100 per cent for tomorrow night.

"I'm hopeful that, if he's out there and he starts the game tomorrow, he'll be right for the full 80 minutes."
