The 2011 NHL Playoffs continue on Monday night, with the Vancouver Canucks and Boston Bruins meeting for the third time in the Stanley Cup finals

The Vancouver Canucks lead the Boston Bruins 2-0 heading into game three of their best of seven series in the 2011 Stanley Cup Finals. The two teams are preparing to meet on Monday night as the series switches over to Boston for game three.

The Canucks are getting close to winning the Stanley Cup for the first time as a win on Monday and a win on Wednesday would end the series with a sweep. However Boston played Vancouver so tight in games one and two that they have to feel a degree of confidence in game three as they are back on home ice for the first time since beating the Tampa Bay Lightning in game seven of the Eastern Conference Finals.

"I don't think there's any reason here to not be positive," Boston coach Claude Julien said. "You don't get this far and all of a sudden hang your head."

Alexandre Burrows, the hero from game two, has been quick to point out that Vancouver cannot relax just because of their lead in the series: "We haven't won anything yet," he said on Saturday night. "It's only two games. We've only taken care of home ice. They're a really good team and I'm sure they're going to feed off the energy from their crowd. We have to make sure we're ready to go in there. It won't be easy. Until you win a road game, you're not in control of any series."

Technically the Canucks could still be viewed as being in control of the series even if they lose games three and four. Vancouver won the President's Trophy and, as a result, all they need to do is win their home games to win the Stanley Cup.

It's Boston that need the road win and they failed to get that in the opening two games. The Bruins are the team under pressure in game three more than Vancouver although the Canucks should be thinking split in games three and four.

Game three takes place at 8pm ET (5pm PT) on Monday night with television coverage provided by Versus, CBC, and RDS.
