Those kinds of spreads are discrediting and they make Vancouver look like they are outclassed against the Bruins. The basic fact, however, is that the Bruins and Canucks are tied in the series 2-2, even if Boston are +9 on net goals in the series. Vancouver can ground some confidence in the fact that they have two games remaining on home ice in the finals, provided that the series goes seven games.Boston flirted with defeating Vancouver in the two opening games of the series from the Rogers Arena as the Canucks only won game one in the final minute of regulation, 1-0. Game two went to overtime with Alexandr Burrows scoring the game winner and based on how tight those games were the Bruins have to be thinking that they might need just a bit of luck to take game five down - if Vancouver play their best. But if the Canucks remain subpar they could easily find themselves losing this series in six games with the Cup drought ending in Boston and the Cup drought continuing in Vancouver.Game time on Friday night is at 8pm ET (5pm PT) with NBC and CBC providing the television coverage.
