The Sharks were up against a better team in Vancouver, however San Jose's failure to win more than one game in the series has to be considered a bad-showing.Vancouver, on the other hand, have done a number on erasing their tag as playoff non-factors although fans in British Columbia's largest city will be looking for the Canucks to end the Cup drought as Vancouver has not won the Stanley Cup in franchise history and their tenure in the NHL is now over 40 years old.Vancouver's opponent in the Stanley Cup final is yet to be determined however home ice advantage is locked up for the Canucks. As President's Trophy winners, Vancouver will host games one and two regardless of whether they play the Boston Bruins or the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Lightning's and Bruins' series is one that could end tonight as they are scheduled to play in game six with Boston up 3-2.The only insight into the series schedule for the Stanley Cup finals at this point is that the NHL previously stated that June 17th would be the final day in the calendar year for a possible game 7. Vancouver do look like a better team than either Boston or Tampa Bay, although both of those teams have goaltenders that could win tough games for their franchises.
