The Canucks were 1-0 winners in Game Five of the 2011 Stanley Cup finals, thanks to a goal from Maxime Lapierre

The Vancouver Canucks are one game away from winning the Stanley Cup as they took down game five of the championship series on Friday night from Vancouver 1-0.

Maxime Lapierre had the game's only goal early in the third period and Roberto Luongo made it stand up as the Canucks won another one goal game in front of their home fans.

The two teams will head back to Boston with the Canucks up 3-2 in the series and holding two chances to win their first NHL championship. The pattern in the series so far has been a one goal win for Vancouver in Vancouver with blow out wins for Boston in Boston.

The Bruins will be hoping that pattern holds up in game six on Monday night.
