Detroit Red Wings vs San Jose Sharks Preview and Tips Visit Ladbrokes Save For Later Posted by Bettingpro Staff 12 May 2011 Tweet Related Articles See all NHL news Share it Pin It The San Jose Sharks and Detroit Red Wings will meet tonight for the deciding match in their NHL play-off tieThe 2011 Stanley Cup playoffs will continue tonight with just the one game in the NHL schedule. Three of the four series in the second round have been wrapped up already and the only series still going is the one between the San Jose Sharks and the Detroit Red Wings. This series looked as though it were over a long time ago as San Jose, once upon a time, held a 3-0 lead over the Red Wings. But Detroit have come storming back and now they are just one win away from becoming the fourth team in NHL history to make the comeback from down 0-3 in a playoff series.Should the Sharks lose tonight it would be absolutely devastating for the franchise. The Sharks have already been tagged as chokers and underachievers in the Stanley Cup playoffs and if they should falter to Detroit after holding a 3-0 series lead, fuel would be added to that fire. That isn't exactly the reputation you want to go around re-inforcing and you have to wonder whose head is going to roll if San Jose lose tonight, on home ice nonetheless.Needless to say all the pressure is on San Jose in this game as the Red Wings, even if they lose, have so many Cups in their recent history that no one can really say that they are chokers without being confronted with a barrage of banners.Game time on Thursday night is at 9pm ET (6pm PT) with television coverage from the Shark Tank available with TSN in Canada and on Versus in the USA.
