Boston extended the series on Monday night with a home-win over Vancouver 5-2 thanks in large part to four goals in the first period, three of which were against Roberto Luongo.Vancouver and Boston are two teams who are in the midst of huge Cup droughts as Vancouver have never won the Stanley Cup since joining the NHL in 1970 while Boston last won the Cup in 1972. One of the droughts is guaranteed to end on Wednesday while one of them is guaranteed to continue.Vancouver will have the home ice advantage in game seven which comes from Rogers Arena on June 15th at 8pm ET. The series has played according to a pattern as Boston have defeated Vancouver handily in the games from the TD Centre while the Canucks have squeaked out close wins from Rogers Arena.Teams that have played game seven of the Stanley Cup Finals on the road have not typically won however the 2009 Penguins beat that trend in a game from Joe Louis Arena a couple years ago. Game seven will be televised with CBC, RDS, and NBC and the result promises to dish out jubilation to the winners and their fans with heart-ache going to the losers and their contingent.
