The Superbowl XLVI takes place on Sunday and Unibet will be offering a wide range of betting markets for one of the sporting highlights of 2012

It has Madonna singing at half time. It has halftime adverts costing an average of $3.5million for a 30 second commercial. It has over 110 million TV viewers worldwide in the US alone. It has the same teams playing as it did in 2008. Coaches – Since joining NY Giants in 2004 coach Tom Coughlin has led them to 1 Superbowl championship already and has a strong 7-3 postseason record. NE Patriots Bill Belicheck however has already won 3 Superbowls and a 16-5 postseason record with the Patriots. New England edge favouritism in this department.

Quarterbacks – A battle of two of the games elites, NYGs Eli Manning picked up his first Superbowl victory in 2008 where he was also named MVP. Tom Brady however could pick up his fourth title if victorious on Sunday which would truly rank him as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.

Eli seems to come good when the pressure is really on – this season he set a new record for most 4th Quarter Touchdowns and he increased his QB rating from 92.9 in the regular season to 103.1 in the postseason. This is a huge increase of a guy who thrives when the heat is on. With Brady though what you get is consistency as also reflected in his ratings which go from a 105.6 in the regular season to 105.8 in the postseason.

Match Ups – Even with the NE Offence fully healthy they will face a tough test against the likes of Jason Pierre-Paul, Osi Umenyiora and Justin Tuck in the NYG defence who will most certainly force Brady into some key mistakes. For the NE Defence the key to winning the game is to stop Eli Manning passing to the NYG big play receivers and so need to apply constant pressure on him.

Even then, San Francisco Giants managed to achieve this in the postseason sacking Manning 6 times but it was still not enough to win the game! NEs tight end combo of Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez is one of the most feared duos in football. With the pair putting up over 2,200 yards and 24 touchdowns during the regular season, no team has been able to slow them down – yet!
