New Orleans Saints Super Bowl Win Hits SkyBet Hard

Firm report horrendous losses after Saints beat Colts in NFL showpiece

SkyBet have reported massive losses on last night’s Super Bowl, after the underdogs the New Orleans Saints came from behind to run out 31-17 winners over the much fancied Indianapolis Colts.

The firm had put themselves in a bad position, having laid a series of big ante-post bets on the Saints, and SkyBet’s spokesman Steve Freeth told bettingpro:

"We were desperate for a Colts win due to a horrendous position in our ante-post book and punters like backing the dog on the money line in a Super Bowl, so we've taken a couple of hefty hits.

"We're just relieved it finished under the points (56.5) or it could have been a lot, lot worse."

Bet365 have made it a 10/1 shot that the Saints are crowned back-to-back champions, with a win in next year’s Super Bowl
