In MotoGP riders reach maximum speeds as they rocket round the corners, producing some of the most spectacular races around.
The 2009 MotoGP season began in April in the middle of the Qatar desert and heads into its home straight in November in Valencia.
Over the course of the season, there are plenty of MotoGP Highlights on the international racing calendar – famous circuits like Jerez, Brno und Le Mans are all there, as well as the classics in Donington Park and at the Sachsenring. Some of the most difficult circuits on the schedule are Estoril and Laguna Seca, one of the most dangerous circuits in the world.
Races in Sepang (Malaysia) and the recently-added circuit in Shanghai (China) give the riders the chance to reach speeds of up to 330 kmh on their speed machines.
The 2009 Season promises to be a year packed full of action and excitement. The race results are getting closer and closer with the battle between the top 3 riders becoming a drama-fuelled fight on the asphalt. Who will be able to beat reigning MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi this season? His predecessor, the “Kentucky Kid“ Nicky Hayden and Australia’s fastest export, Casey Stoner are a hot tip to take the coveted title.
