Quick guide to betting on cricket

Here we explain how you can bet on Cricket at a site like bet365, which also streams live cricket online

Head to Head
The easiest call of them all – just pick the team or player you think will win the game. Play it safe and put your money behind the team we’re picking to win, or take a chance on the outsider for a bigger pay-out.

Top Runscorer
Pick the player who you think will score the most runs in their team. Your favourite batsman is a good place to start and if he scores more than all his team mates then you’re a winner.

Next Man Out
This bet type is only available during Live betting. Throughout the whole match you can make a call on who you think will be out next between the two batters out on the pitch.

Highest First 10 Overs
Out of the two teams in the match who do you think can score the most runs in the first 10 overs. It’s as easy as that.

Race to 10 Runs
Two batsmen enter the crease to open the batting; you pick who will get to 10 runs first. Sometimes the opening batsman won’t even make 10 runs. Let’s just hope your moneys on the other guy!

Innings/Match Runs
It’s your call as to how many runs in total from both teams you think will be scored in the Innings/Match? The ‘Match’ option is available for both One Day Internationals and Test Matches. The ‘Innings’ option is only available during Test Matches, because that’s when they actually play innings’.

Highest Opening Partnership
The opening partnership for any team usually has a big influence on how the remainder of the team will bat. The team who we think will win will most likely be paying a bit less than the other. But, as we all know, anything can happen in a Cricket match!

Method of 1st Dismissal
How will the 1st wicket for the match be taken? Caught, stumped, bowled or LBW – put your money where your mouth is.

Total Match 6s
This is what the people have come to see! Balls flying into (and over) the stands. You just need to make your call on how many times this will happen. Remember, there will always be a lot more 6’s in a Twenty20 match, than a 5-day Test Match.

Most Runs
This is where we pick two guys from either the same team, or different teams, and you can back which of the two will score the most runs.

Team to Hit Most 6’s
Put your money behind the team with the big hitters. Remember the home team will always know where the closest boundaries are, but, will this make a difference if the away team bowling attack steps up?
