Eight of Europe's top volleyball nations in Sofia, Bulgaria this week to participate in the CEV Men's Olympic Volleyball Qualifying Tournament at the Arena Armeets.
In Pool A is Serbia, Bulgaria, Spain and Slovenia are vying for a place in this weekend's sem-finals against the top two in Pool B which is composed of Italy, Germany, Finland and Slovakia. The winner of the tournament will book a ticket to the London Games.
Wednesday's matches see Finland take on Germany at 1230, Slovenia face Spain at 1500 and Serbia clash with Bulgaria at 1730.
The AFC Cup group stage concludes on Wednesday with some of Asia's clubs battling it out for a place in the Round of 16.
One such clash is that of Hong Kong Division One leaders Kitchee against Malaysian FA Cup holders Terengganu at 1300, with top spot in Group F and a home tie in the last of 16 up for grabs.
Kitchee have a one point advantage over the Malaysians coming into the match and need only draw to secure first place.
Birmingham City and Blackpool meet in the second-leg of the Championship play-offs semi-final at St Andrews on Wednesday evening.
Blackpool take a 1-0 advantage into this decider, Chris Hughton’s men are still fancied to go through. The Blues took secured a last-gasp 2-2 draw at Bloomfield Road during the season before recording a comfortable 3-0 victory on home turf.
