The World Snooker Championships offers up a mouthwatering last 16 tie as three-time champion Ronnie O'Sullivan faces two-time winner Mark Williams on Saturday.
The duo are regarded as two of the all-time great potters but Williams has never beaten O'Sullivan at the Crucible and will be determined to end that run this time around.
It’s semi-final weekend in the Heineken Cup with Ulster taking on Edinburgh on Saturday before defending champions Leinster meet Clermont on Sunday.
Edinburgh travel to Dublin viewed by many as the real underdogs in this semi-final, but if Ulster treat their Scottish opponents lightly they could get turned over as Michael Bradley’s side have made it to this stage with some impressive performances.
The Championship season reaches its climax on Saturday with two outstanding matters to be resolved and Southampton and Cardiff looking set to be the ones smiling at full-time with regards to who claims the final automatic promotion place and the last play-off spot respectively.
All eyes will be on St Mary’s as Nigel Adkins‘ Saints look to finally book their place in the Premier League alongside champions Reading,while the other outstanding issue in the Championship is the race for the sixth and final play-off place with Cardiff in the driving seat as they visit Crystal Palace.
There's also a great card at Sandown Park for horse racing fans to look forward to which includes the Gold Cup, the Celebration Chase, as well as two Group 3’s on the Flat.
