Rugby league, football, tennis and snooker take centre stage this Friday with plenty of top quality action being streamed live online.
Canterbury Bulldogs could go top of the NRL ladder on Friday, even though it might only be for 24 hours, when they travel to Brookvale Oval to face defending champions Manly Sea Eagles.
A win for the Doggies will see them go top of the table, but Melbourne will go back top if they manage to see off bottom club Parramatta Eels on Saturday.
This game has extra added spice due to the fact that former Manly coach Des Hasler returns to ‘Brookie’ for the first time with new club Canterbury Bulldogs - and the vocal home crowd will be giving him loads of verbals despite the good job he did there.
The second game on Friday sees Brisbane Broncos looking to keep tabs with the leaders as they take on local rivals Gold Coast Titans.
The Broncos are third on the ladder, two behind the Bulldogs and Melbourne Storm, and they will be hoping to keep alive their dreams of winning the Minor Premiership.
The 2012/13 Austrian Erste Liga returns to action this week and bet365 are live streaming all five of Friday night’s games.
The night’s biggest game sees Austria Lustenau kick off their second tier campaign with a trip to face KSV Superfund. Austria Lustenau finished third last season and will be eager to improve on that this time around to earn promotion to the top flight.
However, opponents KSV Superfund will also be eyeing a winning start after a dreadful 2011/12 campaign that saw them finish rock bottom of the Bundesliga after winning just five games all season long.
St Polten, who finished fourth in the standings last season, begin their campaign with a home game against First Vienna FC 1894, while SV Scholz Grodig open up against FC Lustenau as they target promotion to the Bundesliga.
Hartberg narrowly avoided relegation last season, winning a two-legged play-off, and they will be hoping to hit the ground running early in order to avoid another relegation dogfight. First up for them is FC Blau Weiss Linz, who finished fifth.
And finally, newly-promoted SV Horn kick off their Austrian Erste Liga campaign with a home clash against SCR Altach, who fell just short last season by finishing second in the standings.
Other highlights on Friday include a match from the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A with Fluminense taking on Bahia BA.
Fluminense are currently second on the league ladder in Brazil but they are well aware that by picking up win number seven from nine they will top the table.
Bahia BA, on the other hand, are really struggling and find themselves in the relegation places in 1th spot. A win on Friday will see them move away from danger and that is their main priority for the time being.
FK Dainava Alytus take on FC Banga in the Lithuanian A Lyga with a 1600 BST kick-off time, while Silkeborg and AC Horsens doing battle in the Danish SAS Ligaen at 1730.
There is plenty of live tennis action for fans to get their teeth into with ATP Atlanta, ATP Los Angeles, ATP Gstaad, WTA Bastad and WTA Carlsbad all showing some entertaining matches, while there is live snooker from the PTC event in Gloucester.
