The NEW Victor Chandler TV Advert featuring Paddy McGuiness & Victor Chandler.

BetVictor are one of the world’s leading bookmakers, with the firm recently changing their branding from Victor Chandler in a bid to appeal across the globe. To tie in with this rebranding exercise, they have launched a series of new TV adverts featuring the popular Paddy McGuinness.

McGuinness is one of those rare celebrities who is almost universally liked by men and women alike. Men would like to have a pint with the affable Take Me Out presenter, while most women would like to go on a date with someone who rose to fame after appearing on Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights.

The 38-year-old was a natural choice when it came to fronting the Bet Victor television adverts, which see the Bolton comedian take centre stage with Victor Chandler himself, someone who is regarded as the Godfather of the bookmaking world.

It was Victor’s grandfather that originally founded the company and Victor Jnr is now chairman of Bet Victor, with the 61-year-old continuing to play an active role in ensuring that the bookmaker continues to be a major player across several regions.

One of Victor Chandler’s best business decisions was to start accepting bets from wealthy overseas clients in the early 1990’s, especially in the Far East where Bet Victor offered customers the chance to bet on Asian Handicap markets with low margins. The bookie has also forged a reputation for accepting high rolling customers and very rarely declining to take a bet.

McGuinness and Chandler have already paired up for several adverts to promote Bet Victor on television, with the campaign being previously based at Nottingham Forest’s City Ground, the Championship club that are sponsored by the bookmaker.

One of the adverts already screened to a UK audience features Paddy McGuinness proclaiming that football has changed thanks to overseas investment and the fact that the half-time pie is no longer a pie anymore! However, he then sits down to Victor Chandler in the City Ground stand and states that Bet Victor are still a well-established bookmaker who continue to operate to the highest standard.

Another advert featuring McGuinness and Chandler sees the pair walking to a game and the comedian being under the misapprehension that supporters are trying to take photos of him on their mobile phone when instead they are betting on the Bet Victor website.

Seconds later, we see McGuinness expecting to be asked for an autograph only for the supporter in question to ask Victor Chandler if he can place a £10 correct score bet with Bet Victor.

We’re now looking forward to seeing the latest television adverts to promote Bet Victor, the first to be aired since the rebranding exercise took place. The Bet Victor website also represents an improvement on the previous Victor Chandler website, with several new features available.

Paddy McGuiness says that football's changed, but thankfully some things haven't.
