And those four clubs will see action in the Champions League Final Four in Cologne on Saturday.

The winners will face off in Sunday's final while the losing semifinalists will battle for the bronze medal.

The first semifinal will feature an all-German showdown between Füchse Berlin and THW Kiel.

Reaching the last four seemed to be a tall order for Füchse Berlin after it lost to Ademar León 23-34 in the first leg of their quarterfinal showdown. Given up for dead, the German club did the unthinkable by beating its Spanish opponent also by 11 goals (29-18) in the rematch. Füchse advanced as it scored more away goals.

Kiel, meanwhile, was held to a 31-31 draw by RK Zagreb in the first leg of their quarterfinal duel. But the German powerhouse posted a 33-27 victory in the second leg to reach the last four.

The other semifinal will pit Spanish club Atletico de Madrid against Danish powerhouse AG København.

Atletico lost to RK Koper 23-26 in the first leg of their quarterfinal match-up but the Spanish club bounced back with a 31-24 win in the rematch. København, meanwhile, ousted defending champion

Barcelona in the quarterfinal. The Danes won the first leg 29-23 and lost the second leg 33-36 but it was enough for them to advance.
