Aintree's Clerk of the Course and Director of Racing, Andrew Tullouch, explained: : "We had three millimetres of rain overnight and have seen generally overcast and drizzly conditions today, which produced around another millimetre of rain. This has helped to maintain the ground in its current condition and all courses are looking in great shape."Conditions are predicted to be pretty much the same again tomorrow, with overcast and drizzly conditions early on giving way to brighter weather in the afternoon.
