WGC-Cadillac Championship Odds - Punters backing Tiger

Tiger Woods is the punters' pick to win the WGC Cadillac Championship, according to Ladbrokes.

Following a superb round of 62 at the Honda Classic punters have piled in to Woods at 7/1, completely deserting the new world number one, and tournament favourite, Rory McIlroy at 6/1. Should Woods be victorious it will force Ladbrokes in to a £75,000 payout to the Tiger faithful.

Woods earns a 3/1 quote of reclaiming his title as world number one at any point this year, but it's odds-on that maestro McIlroy will claim the top spot at the end of 2012. The firm quote 10/1 that the pair will share the Major honours this season, claiming two apiece.

Jessica Bridge, spokesperson for Ladbrokes, told Bettingpro.com: “Woods' form is starting to worry us. Punters are firmly back on board the Tiger train and it won't be long before he's causing us severe headaches again.”

Lee Westwood is also being heavily backed at 14/1 which would trigger another five-figure sum heading in to punters' pockets.
