Tiger Woods to Return to Golf This Month?

Woods backed to play Arnold Palmer Invitational

Bookmakers Coral have been inundated with requests for prices on Tiger Woods to make a winning return to golf, in the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill in just three weeks time, amid rumours that the World’s number one golfer could return to the game much sooner than anticipated.

The firm make Tiger just 9/4 to win that tournament, and despite being out of action since before Christmas, there is a growing feeling that Woods can come back with a win to silence his critics.

The American has been reintroduced to the betting for April’s US Masters, and is 11/4 to win the year’s first major.

Coral’s spokesman Gary Burton told Bettingpro:

"Just when we thought we might not see Tiger return at all this year, we had numerous calls asking for prices for the Bay Hill and Masters, and although he hasn't played competitively for some time, he is still the warm favourite for both,"
