Dyson (7/4 Tournament Outright) could have taken a three-shot advantage into the last day after making five birdies and two bogeys over his first 17 holes, but again he stumbled at the par-four 18th.

Having bogeyed the hole on days one and two, Dyson double-bogeyed it on Saturday, forcing him to settle for a one-under-par round and five-under-par total.

That late blunder means second-placed pair Soren Kjeldsen (7/2) and Pablo Larrazabal (7/2) are one shot further back on four-under after 54 holes.

Kjeldsen overcame a double-bogey of his own as he made four birdies, and one bogey, in a one-under-par effort, while Larrazabal will be kicking himself after a late bogey.

The Spaniard could have held a share of the lead after he made four birdies over his first 17 holes, but a final-hole bogey meant he had to settle for a share of second place with one round to go.

Fellow Spaniards Jorge Campillo (16/1) and Alejandro Canizares (16/1) are also in contentio at three-under and two-under respectively, while Graeme Storm (33/1), Francesco Molinari (16/1), Marcel Siem (40/1), Peter Lawrie (40/1), Nicolas Colsaerts (20/1) and Thorbjorn Olesen (33/1) are all one-under after three rounds in Seville.
