Rory McIlroy will play with American Rickie Fowler, who he partnered in the opening round of both the US Masters and US Open, and Tour veteran Ernie Els. There should be some fantastic scoring in that group and it would be no surprise to see McIlroy shoot to the top of the leaderboard as he will be relaxed and comfortable around two friends. Ladbrokes make it evens that the Northern Irishman outscores his playing partners and that price will surely not last for too long. There are some other intriguing three balls on Thursday, with Lee Westwood partnering Charl Schwartzel and Steve Stricker around Royal St. Georges on the first day. Westwood isn't a great starter in major tournaments and he may find himself being overshadowed by Stricker, who won the John Deere Classic last weekend. The American is 2/1 to be top of the trio which tees off at 14:10 GMT.Two Englishman who are worth investing in on the opening day of the 2011 Open Championship are Justin Rose and Ian Poulter. Rose, who is 13/8 to win his three ball, is playing with Adam Scott and Zach Johnson. Both are fantastic golfers but neither has the game for links golf and Rose, who burst to prominence at Royal Birkdale in 1998, thrives when playing in tricky conditions. He should have no problem outscoring his playing partners.Similarly, Poulter tends to save his best for The Open and his second placed finish at Birkdale in 2008 was his career best in a major championship. The 35-year-old will play with Dustin Johnson and Yuta Ikeda. Johnson has played some fantastic golf in the last year but he could struggle to adapt his game to Royal St. Georges, while Ikeda has never made the cut at any Open Championship. At 11/8, Poulter looks to be a stand out bet to beat the pair on Thursday.Full Open Championship Thursday Three Ball Betting from Ladbrokes.com*06:30J Kelly 2/1N Green 9/4D Willett 11/806:41T Jaidee 13/8M Calcavecchia 12/5G Storm 8/506:52G Havret 8/5C Hoffman 7/4M Brier 11/507:03T Hamilton 15/8S Khan 6/4P Marksaeng 11/507:14Rhys Davies 2/1F Jacobson 5/6M O'Meara 9/207:25T Bjorn 7/4S Dyson 7/4G Woodland 2/107:36K-T Kim 5/2R Moore 13/8A Quiros 6/407:47B Van Pelt 15/8K J Choi 11/8M Laird 12/507:58S Gallacher 7/4B Haas 5/4H Fujita 14/508:09G Ogilvy 11/8P Uihlein 10/3M-A Jimenez 7/508:20F Molinari 5/4T Hiratsuka 7/2S Cink 6/408:31N Watney 6/4M Manassero 15/8A Cabrera 11/508:42Y Ikeda 4/1I Poulter 11/8D Johnson 5/408:58B Curtis 12/5P Casey 6/4A Baddeley 7/409:09E Els 12/5R McIlroy EvensRickie Fowler 11/409:20L Donald EvensR Ishikawa 4/1S Garcia 7/409:31R Goosen 11/8H Mahan 13/8A Hansen 11/409:42B Davis 6/4C Villegas 11/8D Duval 3/109:53J Daly 9/2R Fisher 11/8P Hanson 6/510:04G Bourdy 6/5J Dufner 6/5C Hinton 11/210:15A Noren 13/8Paul Lawrie 7/4K Na 11/510:26S O'Hair 13/8Seung-Yul Noh 9/4T Olesen 13/810:37S Edwards 4/1B Estes 13/8R McEvoy 11/1010:48F Mcguirk 7/2M Millar 5/2K Streelman 4/510:59M Laskey 2/1T Shadbolt 2/1R Kulacz 6/411:10S Lilly 5/2C Tidland 11/8N Schietekat 7/411:31P Whiteford 7/4S Levin 2/1T Aiken 7/411:42P Meesawat 2/1M Maritz 3/1H Frazar 11/1011:53C Campbell 6/4K Ferrie 11/4S Jamieson 6/412:04R Jacquelin 7/4M Wilson 13/8K Stanley 11/512:15S Marino 13/8R Green 2/1P Larrazabal 15/812:26R Sabbatini 6/5S Lyle 5/1Anthony Kim 5/412:37E Molinari 7/4C Howell 13/8J Luiten 11/512:48B Snedeker 10/11L Bjerregard 11/2T Immelman 13/812:59D Clarke 2/1J Byrd 9/4Y-E Yang 11/813:10L Glover 15/8H Kawai 5/1 R Karlsson 5/6 13:21B Macpherson 8/1M Kuchar 11/10P Harrington 11/1013:32Z Johnson 11/5A Scott 7/4J Rose 13/813:43G Mcdowell 6/4J Day 13/8Bubba Watson 5/213:59J Furyk 10/11B Langer 5/2T Takayama 3/114:10L Westwood 5/4S Stricker 2/1C Schwartzel 5/214:21L Oosthuizen 5/2M Kaymer 6/4P Mickelson 13/814:32H Stenson 10/11T Lewis 9/4T Watson 10/314:43R Allenby 6/4D Love III 13/8F Andersson Hed 5/214:54N Colsaerts 11/8JB Holmes 6/4Sang-Moon Bae 3/115:05W Simpson 11/8R Rock 13/8A Canizares 11/415:16K Barnes 4/1J Leonard 2/1J Overton 10/11 15:27L Corfield 4/1B Crane 4/5F De Vries 9/415:38R Palmer 10/11T Lehman 13/8A Wootton 11/215:49Jung-Gon Hwang 4/1G Boyd 5/4R Garrigus 11/816:00G Coetzee 4/5A Smith 4/1B Kennedy 9/416:11J Knutzon 7/4A Johnston 2/1Chih-Bing Lam 7/4*All odds are subject to change.
