Maybank Malaysian Open betting

Francesco Molinari and Simon Dyson have been all the rage with Victor Chandler punters to win the Maybank Malaysian Open this weekend.

The pair have been well backed this morning, and both have been cut in price accordingly.

"Molinari was very popular at 30/1, and we had to take evasive action," said Chandler’s golf compiler Glen Hyslop.

"He is now 20/1, but we have a chunky liability on him and we need to avoid running up anymore on him."

Molinari came fifth in last year’s event after an impressive finishing round and Dyson, who has also been the subject of a gamble today, was also an unlucky third last year.

Dyson has been backed in from 22/1 to 20/1.

“Dyson should have won it last year and after a break in play on the final holes, he seemed to throw his rhythm out," added Hyslop.

"It seems the punters fancy his chances to get it right this time."
