The European Tour heads to Malaysia this week, where a strong field will contest the Iskandar Johor Open.
World number 37 Louis Oosthuizen (8/1 tournament outright) is one of the favourites to win the event this week, with the South African a threat at any tournament he attends.
The 29-year-old has won three events on the European Tour but is yet to win a competition in Asia on the circuit.
Oosthuizen will be looking to break that duck this week and if he can get into a strong position going into the weekend, the 2012 Open winner has a great chance of winning the Iskander Johor Open this weekend.
The talented player will have his eyes firmly set on the $2m prize and will be heading in the tournament full of confidence as he finds himself in decent form.
Oosthuizen featured in the Maybank Malaysian Open back in April, so the notoriously difficult conditions in the region will come as no shock to the man from Mossel Bay.
However, with the standard of players around him this week, Oosthuizen is not likely to have it all his own way.
Anthony Kim (8/1 tournament outright) is also another highly-rated contender, who will be looking to shine in Malaysia this week, as he goes in search of his first win on the European Tour.
The world number 70 is set for the event at Horizon Hills Golf and Country Club and with his strong iron game, he should be there abouts come the final day on Sunday.
Four-time European Tour winner Ross Fisher (25/1 tournament outright) will be another player to look out for in Malaysia, as the Englishman has enjoyed another decent season.
Still some way behind the levels of fellow countrymen Luke Donald and Lee Westwood, who currently sit in first and third in the world rankings, Fisher has shown he can compete with some of the best.
However it’s all about consistency at this level and Fisher will need to put some decent rounds together if he is to come away from Asia with the win.
Of course the defending champion of this event Padraig Harrington (16/1 tournament outright) can’t be ruled out of the running, especially since he has racked up 14 wins on the European Tour in his established career so far.
The Irishman has won on the continent before with a victory at the Omega Hong Kong Open back in 2003.
Harrington certainly has the experience to win at Horizon Hills this week but the 40-year-old is searching for that form which helped him seal The Open and PGA Championship titles back in 2008.
If the Ryder Cup player can get somewhere close to those levels, he will push the likes of Oosthuizen and Kim for prize money in Malaysia.
