He returned to one-under with a birdie at the par-four fourth, but bogeys at the par-four sixth and par-three eighth meant he made the turn in 37. Woods made a solid start to his inward nine with back-to-back birdies at the par-four 10th and par-five 11th, but further bogeys at the par-five 13th and 16th meant he slipped to seven-under through 54 holes.Meanwhile, Johnson took advantage as he improved his total to eight-under following a dramatic final eight holes for him. Having parred the first 10 holes, the American rode a hot streak between the par-five 11th and 13th, going eagle, birdie, birdie. Johnson almost let Woods off the hook with back-to-back bogeys at the par-five 16th and par-three 17th, but an eagle at the par-four 18th put him in front.KJ Choi remains five-under following a par-70, while Gary Woodland, Hunter Mahan and Matt Kuchar are all three-under. Englishman Paul Casey improved to two-under with a round of 67, while Bubba Watson is now one-under.
