Alan Brogan is odds-on with Paddy Power to open a Twitter account

Paddy Power have opened a book on whether or not Dublin dynamo Alan Brogan will open an official Twitter account, following tireless efforts by his younger brother Bernard Brogan to recruit him to the social networking site.

The blue centre forward, who is hotly tipped to win Footballer of the Year, is just 1/2 to give into peer pressure and join the posse on Twitter by the end of this year. The eldest Brogan brother though is very settled in his ways so the odds on him refusing to follow celebrity ranks and join the site are also short at 6/4.

Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for Paddy Power told Bettingpro: “I think it started as a bit of a laugh but now fans are desperate for the Dub hero to get tweeting. After his All Ireland winning performance he’d have plenty of loyal followers that’s for sure!”

Paddy Power are also quoting 5/2 that Alan Brogan will rack up more followers than his brother Bernard by the end of the year if he does sign up. The bets are well and truly on to #GetAlanBroganonTwitter!
