Sebastian Vettel focused on becoming Formula 1 World Champion

- 10 Feb 2010

Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel has revealed he takes no notice of the media hype surrounding him and is just focused on becoming Formula 1 world champion (Vettel 6/1 to win the title in the outright market at Betfred).

Vettel, and team-mate Mark Webber, unveiled Red Bull’s new car for 2010 ahead of testing in Spain this week as the team look to go one better following last season’s runners-up finish in the constructors championship (Red Bull 4/1 to be victorious this year with Betfred).

Vettel, 22, is tipped to become one of the brightest stars in the sport and he is determined to fulfil his potential and become F1 champion one day.

“I don’t care if the press calls me a star,” he said.

“I don’t even need to think about it for a second. My goal is to be world champion.”

Meanwhile, Webber has been impressed with the look of his team’s new car, the RB6, as he prepares for a first drive of it in Spain.

“This car is a limousine,” he said. “We only had small aerodynamic changes so we didn’t go crazy. It shows how clever [designer] Adrian Newey is.”
