WilliamHill hoping German doesn’t make successful return to F1
Michael Schumacher’s return to Formula 1 has been the talk of the pre-season, and WilliamHill have reported a series of bets on the seven time Driver’s Champion has an unsuccessful season, with the firm confirming that a win for Schuey would be the worst possible result for them financially.
Hills have also seen some strong support for the Red Bull team, with punters looking for an outsider to have a successful season, like in 2009, when the Brawn team and Jenson Button were the big winners. Hills have been forced to cut Red Bull to 3/1 o win the Constructor’s Championship, although they are still third favourites for the title, behind MacLaren and Ferrari.
Hills spokesman Rupert Adams told Bettingpro:
"The 2009 championship was a disaster for us after Jenson & Brawn were
backed at huge prices. This year punters are seeing the value in Red Bull
racing and Schumacher, if we can get them beat then all will be well in
2010,"
