Michael Schumacher headed the first two practice sessions at a very rainy Korean Grand Prix and William Hill have cut his odds of qualifying fastest to 100/1 from 125/1.
Schumacher has hardly set the world alight since his return to F1, but his recent performances have shown signs of improvement and Hills go 10/3 that he manages to get a podium finish by the end of this season.
His former team, Ferrari, have had a horrendous season, only winning one Grand Prix and William Hill make them 4/7 to win any one of the remaining races this season (9/4 not to).
William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly told Bettingpro.com: “This season has pretty much been a write off for every driver barring Vettel but there is no doubting that those who have underperformed this season will be trying doubly hard to try and achieve something in one of the last four races.”
During the second half of this season, McLaren have really put the pressure on Red Bull although it has been too little too late, however the omens are good for the Surrey based team for next season.
They are the 7/4 second favourites to win the Constructor’s Championship in 2012 behind Red Bull (1/1) and ahead of 4/1 Ferrari.
