The Formula One travelling circus arrives in Mogyrod for the Hungarian Grand Prix on July 31st.

Last time-out Lewis Hamilton won his second race of the season after a tight battle with Fernando Alonso and Mark Webber at the Nurburgring. Hamilton, who had been widely criticised over the past month for his gung-ho style of racing, produced an aggressive, yet flawless, display. The Brit has enjoyed racing at the Hungaroring in the past after winning in 2007 and 2009. Despite trailing leader Sebastian Vettel by 82-points, the 2008 World Champion still believes he can catch Vettel, and a third win of the season will put pressure on the young German.

In Germany, Hamilton’s team-mate Jenson Button retired for the second-time in succession after his car developed a mechanical problem, which subsequently meant he failed to score a championship point. However, the Hungarian Grand Prix was the destination of Button’s first career Grand Prix win in 2006 for Honda. Currently fifth in the drivers’ championship, Button must start producing podium finishes, and ultimately improve his qualifying laps if he is to move up the table.

Championship leader Sebastian Vettel enters the Hungarian Grand Prix after failing to make the podium for the first time this season. The defending champion could not produce a good enough performance in his home Grand Prix, and crossed the line in fourth place. Despite failing to finish on the podium for the first time this season, Vettel still enjoys a 77-point lead over his team-mate Mark Webber in the drivers' championship.

Australian Webber will hope to replicate his performance 12-months ago, whereby he saw the chequered flag in first place.  After starting in pole position on three occasions this season, Webber has failed to win a race, and last weekend in Germany was no different after he finished third.

Following a mini resurgence at Silverstone, Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso finished second and Felipe Massa could only manage fifth in Germany. With the Hungarian Grand Prix the last before a three-week break, team Ferrari will hope they can take victory at the Hungaroring and close the gap on their rivals.

In the constructors’ title, Red Bull lead with 355 points, ahead of McLaren's 243 and Ferrari’s 192.
