The Flying Finn has finished on the podium three times in the opening eight races of the Formula 1 season, with his best result second in the European Grand Prix in Valencia last time out.

Now Raikkonen wants to take the next step up on the rostrum and add to his career record of 18 victories already.

"If you asked me before the start of the season whether I would be happy with podiums I would have said yes, but now I've had some good results, I want more," Raikkonen admitted.

"In the last few races the results haven't been as strong as I've wanted. We've finished well, but I'm disappointed not to have a win yet.

"We just have to get everything together and I'm sure it can come."

Next up on the F1 calendar is the British Grand Prix at Silverstone next Sunday, a race which Raikkonen won in 2007 for Ferrari, having finished on the podium in each of the previous four years.

Raikkonen is 12/1 to triumph at Silverstone in a week's time, with McLaren's home duo of Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button 7/2 and 16/1 respectively.
