Schumacher suited to soggy Silverstone circuit

Silverstone plays host to the British Grand Prix this weekend and the forecast for serious rain has sparked a mini Michael Schumacher gamble.

The German legend has a great record in wet conditions and the 16/1 has proved tempting that he will be fastest in practice one on Friday.

Schumacher has also been backed at 20/1 to win the GP. Patriotic punters are backing a British victory with Lewis Hamilton 4/1, Jenson Button 16/1 and a Brit 1-2 offered at 22/1.

William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams told Bettingpro.com: “Schumacher has got a history of being right on the money when in wet conditions and the latest forecast is very bleak indeed.”
