On Tuesday, Bettingpro reported that the Syrian businessman claimed that a deal could be done to buy Liverpool FC within the next week, something which would have potentially led to manager Roy Hodgson being able to buy one or two new players. However, a new day brings a new set of quotes from Kirdi, whose credibility is fading by the hour. After previously claiming he was in advanced negotiations to buy Liverpool FC, it appears as though the man in charge of the Middle East and Canadian consortium is backtracking. "I want at least two months, two months to see everything," he said. "After that, if everything is okay, it's a deal. If not, thank you very much."He also told Bloomberg that he won’t be held to ransom over the valuation of Liverpool FC."I can't pay one pound more than value of Liverpool," Kirdi told Bloomberg. "I'm not crazy."Despite Kirdi’s various statements to the media, it appears that chairman Martin Broughton has not yet recommended a bidder on behalf of the board and that any deal will take place well after the transfer window. However, there remains the possibility that Liverpool FC could be in the hands of the taxpayer come October.
