Fabio Capello’s side remain at 6/1 with Sky Bet to lift their first World Cup title in over 50 years

Following the news that England will be one of the eight seeded teams for this Friday’s draw and will avoid the likes of Brazil, Spain, Argentina, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands in the group stages, Fabio Capello’s side remain at 6/1 with Sky Bet to lift their first World Cup title in over 50 years. Brazil and Spain remain at the head of the World Cup outright betting at 9/2.

England could find themselves drawn along side either Portugal or France in their group after the two teams failed to gain a seeding following their disappointing qualifying campaign. It’s 13/2 for Portugal to be drawn in England’s group and 13/2 they draw France.

Sky Bet’s Tim Reynolds said: “We expected England to be given one of the eight seeds so we priced them up accordingly prior to today’s news. All eyes however will be on the draw this Friday to see if England can avoid France and Portugal in the group sections.”

England are 4/7 to progress further than their European rivals Germany (5/4 Germany) and it’s 3/1 for England to once again be eliminated at the quarter-final stage (9/2 semi-final elimination).
