Liverpool are on a high at the moment and they can continue that by beating Wolves on Tuesday and Andy Carroll may even manage to get amongst the goals.

Liverpool produced arguably their best result of the season on Saturday when knocking bitter rivals Manchester United out of the FA Cup thanks to a 2-1 victory and Kenny Dalglish's side are enjoying a good run of form.

The Reds have recently reached the final of the Carling Cup and are closing in on Chelsea in the race for fourth place. They can potentially move to within three points of the Blues on Tuesday night, providing that they can beat Wolves at Molineux.

That shouldn't be a big ask for Liverpool as Mick McCarthy's side are awful at the moment. Wolves have failed to win any of their last 10 games in all competitions and last weekend's 3-2 defeat to local rivals Aston Villa has intensified pressure on McCarthy. It is now just 4/6 at Paddy Power that he is the next manager to leave his position and defeat on Tuesday could spell the end of his reign at Molineux.

Liverpool are 3/4 at William Hill to beat Wolves and that will be a popular bet this week. Luis Suarez may be missing for the visitors but Andy Carroll showed against Manchester United that he can lead the line in the Uruguayan's absence and it looks only a matter of time before the much maligned striker finds the net. Carroll is 6/1 at Betfred to open the scoring on Tuesday or 13/8 with the same firm to find the net at any time. He can be backed at 50/1 with bet365 to score a hat-trick.

Wolves are 22/5 at Bet Victor to win against Liverpool but it is difficult to see how they will hurt Dalglish's men. Steven Fletcher (9/1, Paddy Power) and Kevin Doyle (10/1, bet365) are unlikely to be able to make much of an impression on the Reds' strong defence and even a draw (11/4, Betfred) looks beyond the home side.
