Villarreal v Valencia Preview

Two of last year's La Liga Champions League sides meet on Sunday, when struggling Villarreal host Valencia.

Odds at Pinnacle Sports: Villarreal 3.170, Draw 3.390, Valencia 2.440

Despite fantastic form last season, Villarreal crashed out of the Champions League in December at the bottom of their group.

Their domestic form is equally dire, sitting in 17th place with only their goal-difference keeping their head above the rising waters of the relegation zone.

Villarreal have only won three times this year, and head into the tie having lost three of their last four.

Third-place Valencia have won three of their last four, with a total of 26 goals and 10 wins under their belt this campaign.

Their last match saw them overcome Malaga 2-0, with both goals from the on-form Roberto Soldado. The striker has now bagged 11 this season, making him the most prolific player not employed by Madrid or Barcelona.
