FIFA president Sepp Blatter has come under fire for his comments over football's recent racism rows but he is odds-on to keep his job.

Sky Bet make Sepp Blatter 4/7 to still be at the helm of FIFA come the start of the Euro 2012 finals despite growing calls for him to step down.

Blatter’s recent comments, suggesting racial abuse should be settled with a handshake, has caused an uproar, with the likes of Rio Ferdinand and PFA chief Gordon Taylor hitting out at the president of the game’s governing body.

The online bookmaker offer 5/4 that Blatter will have left his current post come the first game of the Euro 2012 finals and 4/7 that he will remain despite his latest controversial slur.

Sky Bet’s Dale Tempest told Bettingpro:

“This is just the latest in a long line of outrageous comments from FIFA’s top man and history shows he is hardly the sort to walk away when met with disapproval.

“Despite the unison of cries for his scalp, punters aren’t willing to put their money on Blatter leaving with nearly all the money going on him remaining in his post.”
