Manager admits his side are stretched by Europa League fixtures

Fulham manager Roy Hodgson has admitted his small squad is suffering from the strain of having to compete in both the Europa League and the Premiership, although he has called on his players to forget their fatigue, when they travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United this afternoon.

Fulham are victims of their own success this season, with the Cottagers having to cope with the demands of a full domestic campaign, including FA Cup replays, as well as European football, and the travelling that entails.

However, Hodgson believes his squad, although depleted, can cope with the demands placed upon them, saying:

"We are stretched in terms of personnel,

"This is a testing time for the durability of the side and it's important that we give our best for the matches that remain despite the tiredness.

"We have to give our best for the large number of matches that do remain because that's what our season requires of us and I'm sure the players will deliver what's required of them when I ask them to step up to the plate again."

Fulham are 16/1 (Boylesports) to beat Manchester United today, with the Red Devils a best priced 2/9 (Bet365)
