Brazilian claims his talents were stifled at Manchester City
Robinho scored on his debut for Santos at the weekend, and immediately sought to criticise his former manager Roberto Mancini, for what he feels are stifling tactics at Manchester City.
Robinho came off the bench for Santos, with whom he signed a six month loan deal last month, and set up one his side’s goals with a cheeky back-heel, and then scored the other, in a 2-1 win for the Brazil forward’s side.
However, rather than celebrate, Robinho moved immediately to criticise Mancini, claiming:
"He has a different way of thinking. In Brazil, the coach respects the player's characteristics.
"In Europe, they are used to playing with two lines of four players and they don't want to know what you can do.

Robinho is hopeful that his spell back home will help him regain his sharpness ahead of this summer’s World Cup, and the striker spoke confidently about his own chances in South Africa, adding:
"I am preparing mentally and physically to be the best player at the World Cup,
"I'm at a good age. I have to get flying."
