City boss confirms club are serious about signing attacking duo

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has confirmed that he is interested in signing both Inter Milan’s controversial forward Mario Balotelli and Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko.

Balotelli looks set to leave Inter this summer after having a series of high profile bust-ups with former manager Jose Mourinho, causing the Nerazzurri support to turn on the 19-year-old last season.

His former manager Mancini, however, insists that he would have no problem with the Italian international.

"I have no problems," said Mancini.

"The most important thing is that they are good, so that they go on the pitch and play well,

"We are always interested in good players,

"If Inter decide to sell [Balotelli], we will be there."

On Dzeko, who has been attracting attention from a whole host of top clubs around Europe after finishing top scorer in the Bundesliga last season, Mancini added:

“Certainly Dzeko is more than just an interest."
