Manchester City boss says top four finish is achievable for side

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has claimed that, despite Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Sunderland, his side can still finish in the top four of the Premier League, and that City’s destiny is in their own hands.

The Citizens were second best for much of the game against Sunderland, but a last minute Adam Johnson goal earned them a point, which leaves them two points behind fourth placed Tottenham Hotspur, but with a game in hand on Harry Redknapp’s Spurs.

Mancini believes that one game advantage is vital, and said:

"There is no change. We have one game in hand, we must play against Tottenham at home, we must play against Aston Villa.

"We have 10 games to play and it will all depend on us.

"But I think if we want to reach fourth spot, we must win these games."

City are currently 7/4 (BetFred) favourites in the race for fourth place
