QPR v Manchester United trader tips – QPR 6/1 to stun champions

QPR play Manchester United at lunchtime today, with Rangers big odds to cause an upset

QPR have met United eight times in the Barclays Premier League and the Red Devils have never been beaten either at Old Trafford or Loftus Road. However, QPR have come a long way from the Premier League side of the 90s.

They are now one of the richest clubs in the world and they are building the club for the future. Premier League safety is the necessity this season and the owners want to establish the side as a top six team.

It is highly unlikely that United have been preoccupied with the Europa League draw this week. However like QPR, they have been rocked by injury woes. They have lost Fletcher at least until next season, due to the player's bowel problems.

QPR will be without Kieron Dyer, yes he does still represent a Premier League club. The Man Utd away win is 4/9, the draw is 10/3 and the home win is 6/1 with William Hill.

QPR have already defeated Chelsea at home this season and United are not the club of old. United may edge the match but it looks likely to be a close affair and under 2.5 goals can be backed at 19/20.

I fancy the upset at Loftus Road and you can back QPR or the draw in the double chance market at 8/5. It could be a fiery encounter and the likes of Barton and Derry can step-up for QPR. A red card is 9/2 and you can back 6 cards or over at 5/1.

Man United are in a minor rut and they would not take losing at Loftus Road well. QPR's Heidar Helguson is not a glamorous player but he is taking his chances in-front of the net. He has scored six goals in his last seven league appearances.

He is 9/1 to score the first goal and the Red Devils are still without Vidic. They are not the same with Jonny Evans playing alongside the aging Rio Ferdinand. Both teams to score is 19/20 and the match could be end to end.

With all due respect to QPR, Man United will fancy taking the game to the West London club. They will not sit back and that will invite QPR to hit them on the break. One player for for Rangers with big game experience is Shaun Wright-Phillips, he is 11/2 to score anytime and he loves to shoot wildly from distance.

He is one of their best flair players and he enjoys shooting from distance. This time last season, Taarabt thought he would be lining up for United. He may think of himself as the new Ronaldo but the former Spurs reject has looked out of sorts this season. He may have an eye for the spectacular and he is 5/1 to grab the last goal but he is no Heidar Helguson.
