Despite occupying a bottom three berth, Tottenham Hotspur are not one of the eight teams on the bookmaker relegation shortlist this season. However, firms are only decided on one team for the drop - that's Derby County who are no better than 1/8 (William Hill) to return to the Championship, despite a point at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
Every other team can currently be backed at odds-against to suffer the dreaded drop, with Wigan (5/4 Coral) and Birmingham (5/4 William Hill) deemed to be the teams most likely to join the Rams in the second flight next term. The biggest movers in recent weeks are Middlesbrough, who are now 11/4 (VC Bet) after a 2-0 reverse against Chelsea and a forthcoming trip to Old Trafford on the horizon.
Things certainly look bleak for Gareth Southgate's men, although they may just manage to finish above the likes of Bolton (15/8 Blue Square), Fulham (9/4 VC Bet) and Sunderland (10/3 Coral). It's set to be an interesting tussle between all of these teams in the scramble for Premier League survival and Reading (9/2 VC Bet) are the final team who must have their wits about them this campaign.
