Portugal v Bosnia-Herzegovina tips – Ronaldo can lead team to Euro 2012

Portugal host Bosnia-Herzegovina on Tuesday night knowing that a victory will secure their place in Euro 2012, but they will need to be more clinical than they were in the second leg.

A goalless draw away to Bosnia is never a result to be sniffed at but, after dominating the first leg for over an hour, Portugal can be rather disappointed not to have an advantage heading into this game.

Portugal went close on several occasions and they now know a score draw would see the Bosnian's through on away goals.

Bosnia can also call upon defenders Sasa Papac and Boris Pandza as they return from first leg suspensions and have the prolific Edin Dzeko up front waiting to pounce on any slip ups from the Portuguese defence.

The visitors are big outsiders at 9.4 to win the game though and, looking at Portugal's home record, it's easy to see why.
Portugal have not lost a home game since a 3-2 defeat against Denmark back in 2008 and have only failed to score at home on four occasions since 2007.

With the likes of With Raul Meireles, Nani, and Jaou Moutinho pulling the strings in midfield and, of course, Cristiano Ronaldo looking to add to his 30 goals for Portugal up front, there promises to be plenty of goals.

Portugal have hit ten in their last two home games - against admittedly weak Iceland and Luxembourg teams - but, with Bosnia keeping just two clean sheets in their previous 11 games, backing over 2.5 goals to be scored looks tempting at 2.12.

However, if you fancy a tight and tense game, then there is also plenty of evidence to suggest this could be exactly that.

The previous three meetings between these sides - including two play-off games for the 2010 World Cup - have seen just two goals scored, with Portugal winning both of the 2009 games 1-0.

Another nervy 1-0 win for Portugal can be backed at 6.8, while they are 1.4 to get the win in 90 minutes and 1.3 to qualify.
